Meeting of the Ambassador with the Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development

On March 1, 2023, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the State of Kuwait Zubaydullo Zubaydzoda met with the Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development Waleed Shimlon Al-Bahar.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the state and prospects of cooperation between the Kuwaiti Fund and Tajikistan and emphasized its active participation in the implementation of important projects of the country.

Tajik Citizens Will Go to the Great Britain for Seasonal Work

In 2023, the Migration Service of the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population of Tajikistan will send Tajik citizens to the Great Britain for seasonal work, reports ministry’s press service.

Currently, the ministry’s Centers for Counseling and Pre-Departure Training of Labor Migrants has signed a cooperation agreement only with Pro-Force company.

Registration of citizens wishing to go to work in the Great Britain is carried out only at the Center for Counseling and Pre-Departure Training of Labor Migrants in Dushanbe.

The process of selecting and hiring citizens under the seasonal work program in the Great Britain is carried out only on a competitive basis by representatives of Pro-Force.

After passing the selection, documentation, visa support, insurance and travel to the place of work are carried out at the expense of the candidate himself.

All services of the Center for Counseling and Pre-Departure Training of Labor Migrants for the registration of citizens are provided free of charge.

The Migration Service asks citizens not to trust any persons or intermediary firms, and if cases of fictitious job offers in the Great Britain are identified, contact the hotline of the Migration Service.

Special Detectors Installed at the Khujand International Airport to Detect Nuclear and Radioactive Materials

On February 27, Khujand International Airport hosted an official ceremony to hand over special detectors to detect nuclear and radioactive materials.

The purpose of installing special detectors is to counter terrorism using weapons of mass destruction and illegal trafficking of nuclear and radioactive materials across the borders of Tajikistan.

The installation of such equipment at the airport is the next step of Tajikistan in the fight against any weapons of mass destruction, their prevention and illicit trafficking.

In recent years, such detectors have been installed at the customs checkpoints of Dusti, Panji Poyon, Fotehobod, Guliston, Sarazm and at the Dushanbe International Airport.

It is also planned to install such detectors at the international airports of Kulob and Bokhtar.

The project provides for the provision of hand tools and training for Customs officers in order to prevent illicit trafficking in nuclear and radioactive materials.

Delegation of the Supreme Court of Accounts of Saudi Arabia Will Visit Tajikistan

On February 27, leadership of the Accounts Chamber of Tajikistan met with the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Tajikistan.

The meeting focused on the upcoming visit of the delegation of the Supreme Court of Accounts of Saudi Arabia to Tajikistan.

The parties also discussed the meetings and conversations of the delegation with the leadership of the Accounts Chamber, as well as the signing of the Memorandum in the field of audit.

It was expressed view on strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation.

A delegation of the of the Supreme Court of Accounts of Saudi Arabia is expected to visit Tajikistan from March 8 through March 11.

President Emomali Rahmon Receives Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin

Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon held a meeting with the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin in Dushanbe.

At the beginning of the conversation, the Head of our state stressed the importance of maintaining a regular interstate dialogue at the summit levels.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues pertaining to the Tajik-Russian strategic partnership and allied relations.

They noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of relations between the two countries in many areas of cooperation, especially in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as the close interaction of the parties in the field of security.

It should be noted that the Russian Federation remains the main trading partner of Tajikistan and continues to occupy a leading position in the structure of the foreign trade turnover of our country. Last year, the growth of trade between the two countries increased by 23.7 percent and reached to $1.674 million.

In this context, they spoke about the great potential that both countries have to increase mutual trade and jointly implement large investment projects on a mutually beneficial basis.

The leader of the nation highly appreciated the achieved level of cooperation in the humanitarian sphere. At the same time, interest was expressed in further expanding practical ties in the fields of education, science, culture and healthcare.

An exchange of views also took place on topical issues on the international and regional agenda.
