Talantbek Kushchubekov appointed Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Slovenia

Talantbek Kushchubekov has been appointed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Slovenia concurrently with his residence in Budapest. Press service of the President reported.

It should be noted that Talantbek Kushchubekov is the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary.

Talantbek Kushchubekov was born on February 11, 1958. He graduated from the Tashkent State University.

He was an advisor-envoy of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Turkey, then Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ambassador-at-Large, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Kyrgyzstan interested in implementation of Smart Customs projects with PRC

Another meeting of the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) Trade Facilitation Committee was held. The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan reported.

It is noted that at the initiative of China proposals were made to implement a WTO agreement on trade facilitation through the digital revolution and smart technology. Earlier, China announced its assistance in this process.

Nurbek Maksutov, head of Kyrgyzstan’s representative office for WTO issues, said that trade facilitation, simplification, modernization and harmonization of export and import procedures is a vital issue for the Kyrgyz Republic as a landlocked country with a small economy. Previously, this issue has been repeatedly discussed at the WTO platform.

Kyrgyzstan has high hopes for the viability of a free trade agreement. It provides mechanisms to facilitate and increase trade in the world, offering effective provisions to speed up the movement, release and clearance of goods, including in transit. The document also outlines measures for effective cooperation between customs and other relevant authorities on trade facilitation and customs compliance.

Therefore, Kyrgyzstan fully supported China’s proposal. The latter voiced timely suggestions on introducing smart technologies, such as achieving greater transparency through publication and accessibility of information, release of goods and customs clearance, cooperation among border agencies, freedom of transit, and customs partnerships.

Kyrgyzstan is interested in implementation together with China of Smart Customs, Smart Borders and Smart Connectivity (3S) project on use of high technologies at the checkpoints between the Kyrgyz Republic and PRC, which is implemented by the Chinese side based on the experience with Mongolia and other countries.

Akylbek Japarov visits energy facilities in Jalal-Abad region

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan visited the energy facilities of Electric Stations JSC in Jalal-Abad region. Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

Akylbek Japarov familiarized himself with the process of reconstruction of Toktogul HPP’s unit 2 and with the infrastructure for starting construction of Kambarata HPP-1. In addition, he got acquainted with the progress of construction of Kambarata HPP-2 surface spillway.

Based on the results of the visit, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers instructed to accelerate the construction of Kambarata HPP-1, as well as to timely and qualitatively prepare the existing energy facilities of the country for the upcoming autumn-winter period.

Land amnesty: Over 6,000 applications received in Bishkek

More than 6,000 applications for legalization of land plots for housing construction have been received in Bishkek. Koichugul Ibraimov, director of the Bishkek Department of Individual Housing Construction, told 24.kg news agency.

According to him, 5,400 of them were considered by the commission and sent to Bishkek City Architectural Committee to receive a conclusion.

«After it is ready, each citizen must again bring the documents to us, and we will submit them to the commission, where the final decision will be made. It’s a two-step process. As of today, about 700 approvals have been received on the possibility of legalizing the plots,» Koichugul Ibraimov said.

He noted that the land amnesty procedure is being simplified. «After making changes to the regulations, we will accelerate the work in this regard,» the director added.

At the end of May 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the regulation on the procedure for conducting the land amnesty. The document defines the basic rules and procedures for organizing the work of state bodies and local governments for the transfer (transformation) of land into the category of settlements, the procedure for creating a commission, its functions, the procedure for compiling lists of users, public notification, making decisions by the executive bodies of local government on fixing ownership rights to land amnesty facilities in accordance with the Land Code and the law on the regulation of land and legal relations.

State Development Bank of Kyrgyzstan issues ordinary registered shares

State Development Bank JSC passed the registration procedure and managed to issue the first shares. The State Service for Regulation and Supervision of the financial market reported.

The organization confirmed that the state registration of the constituent issue of ordinary registered shares was made during the private issue by the State Development Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic OJSC.

The institution was registered in July 2022. Evgenia Sudets became the Chairwoman of the Board of the bank in December of the same year. She received citizenship of Kyrgyzstan last summer under a simplified procedure. In Russia, Evgenia Sudets worked for a long time in the VTB system, was deputy general director and financial director of the Bank of Moscow management company, director of Tele 2 Russia International Cellular, was a member of the board of directors of Tele 2 Russia Holding and in the Dutch Airport Alliance company.

A special law has been adopted on the state bank. According to it, an authorized capital of 20 billion soms was established.
