Malaysian Delegation Visits the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 15.03.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Representatives of the Ministry of Education of Malaysia visited the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan.

The guests got acquainted with the conditions in the educational laboratories and the educational process.

The visit of the guests to the mountain tourism study coincided with the time when the Professor of the University of Applied Sciences Theo Van de Laar was giving a virtual lesson to third-year students majoring in Management.

The guests had a virtual conversation with Professor and proposed him to establish cooperation with Malaysian universities.

There was also a conversation with the leadership of the university.

The Malaysian delegation expressed their impressions about the conditions and opportunities for studying at the university, given the existing opportunity to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with universities in Malaysia.

Tajikistan Strengthens Cooperation in Combating Drug Trafficking with Russia and Saudi Arabia

DUSHANBE, 15.03.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, on the sidelines of the 66th session of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs, Director of the Drug Control Agency of Tajikistan Habibullo Vohidzoda met with Russian Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Andrey Khrapov.

The meeting focused on important issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the field of combating drug trafficking, the exchange of information on the detention of citizens of states on charges of involvement in drug trafficking, the situation with drug smuggling on the Tajik-Afghan border and strengthening border control.

It was also discussed the process of preparation for signing an agreement between the Drug Control Agency of Tajikistan and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs on cooperation and assistance to the Agency in the field of combating illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, which is under consideration by the Russian side.

Vohidzoda also met with the head of the delegation of the Saudi Arabia Mohammed Al-Qarni.

Collection of Clothes in the National Tajik Style Presented in Germany

DUSHANBE, 15.03.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On March 11, on the eve of the international holiday of Navruz and in connection with declaring 2022-2026 — the Years of Industrial Development, at the initiative of the Embassy of Tajikistan to Germany, a collection of clothes in the national style of the Tajik designer Nafisa Imronova was shown at the «Fashionshow Ottostadt macht Mode» exhibition in the city of Magderburg.

Tajik Ambassador to Germany Imomoudin Sattorov talked about the history of the Tajik atlas, adras and chakan.

He also stressed that the art of Tajik embroidery Chakan was included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List in 2018.

UNESCO Headquarters Hosts a Solemn Event Devoted to the International Day of Navruz

DUSHANBE, 15.03.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, at the initiative of the Permanent Delegations of Tajikistan, Afghanistan, India, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, a solemn event took place on the occasion of celebration of the International Day of Navruz.

The gathering was attended by the heads of diplomatic missions, managing staff and representatives of UNESCO Secretariat, ministries and agencies, scientific and cultural circles of France, as well as Tajik diaspora.

The Permanent Delegation of Tajikistan to UNESCO arranged an exposition with national Tajik dishes, promotional materials and photographs of Tajikistan.

A cultural program by masters of arts was presented for the guests of the event.

All budgetary institutions to switch to single information platform

«We are creating a control system for all budgetary institutions, and there are more than 70,000 of them in the country,» Deputy Finance Minister Ernst Kaldybaev said on March 15 at the International Digital Kyrgyzstan PLUS-Forum.

According to him, the issue of digitalization of the Ministry of Finance is a priority to date. For this, 14 information systems were developed last year.

«By the end of the year, we will transfer budgetary institutions to a single platform. This will allow us to spend budget funds more efficiently,» Ernst Kaldybaev concluded.

Dushanbe Will Host the 4th International National Wrestling Tournament on March 19

DUSHANBE, 15.03.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On March 19, in honor of the International Holiday of Navruz, Dushanbe will host the 4th International National Wrestling Tournament (Gushtingiri) for the Cup of the Chairman of Dushanbe.

The prize for the first place is $10,000, the second place is $7,000, and the third place is $3,000.

The tournament is held per initiative and with the support of the Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali.

Athletes from 25 countries will take part in the tournament and will compete in 5 weight categories, including -65 kg, 71 kg, 78 kg, 86 kg and +86 kg.

Tajikistan will be represented by 30 successful athletes at the tournament.

Sadyr Japarov to pay working visit to Ankara

Sadyr Japarov will pay a working visit to Ankara (Turkey) on March 16-17. Press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported.

During the visit, Sadyr Japarov will take part in an extraordinary meeting of the summit of the heads of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States. The parties will discuss issues of natural disasters caused by natural and man-made hazards, as well as collective response measures.

The summit will be attended by the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, as well as the Prime Minister of Hungary and the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Milli Gengesha as states with the status of observers.

During the visit, meeting with the Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan is also planned, during which topical issues of bilateral cooperation will be discussed.
